MODE MEN 3RD ANNUAL 'MEN OF THE YEAR AWARD' 2010


MODE MEN MAGAZINE will be hosting its third annual ‘MEN OF THE YEAR AWARDS’ on the 4th of December 2010 at The Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The maiden edition was held at The Transcorp Hilton, Abuja where Mr.Tony Elumelu emerged winner of the ‘Man of The Year’ award. Other awardees including Prof.Wole Soyinka and Dr.Newton Jibunoh who both received Lifetime Achievement awards for their contributions. Lagos State Governor Fashola emerged ‘Governor of The Year’, while Abuja based CEO of Televares won the ‘Young Entrepeneur Of The Year’
The second edition was held in Lagos at The Federal Palace Hotel where Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola emerged ‘Man Of The Year’. Mrs.Celine Loader won our ‘Woman Of The Year’, other winners and guests included Steve ‘Yaw’ Onu of Wazobia FM, Kenny Ogungbe & Dayo Adeneye, Kojo Williams, MI and a host of others.
This year’s event promises to be outstanding, the hosts will be Stella Damssus and Frank Edoho, while there will be light performances by Jay martins, El Jazz, Ochuko (Project Fame) and two others. The evening includes a champagne reception, dinner and exclusive VIP goodie bag put together courtesy of Essenza (Home of Fine Fragrances), Cassabella, Deji Fisho Foundation and YK Ocassions & Events for all guests.
MTN PROLINK is sponsoring the ‘Yong Entrepreneur Category’, while REAL LUXURY is sponsoring the ‘Luxury Brand category’. Blackberry is sponsoring the ‘Businessman Of The Year’, Genesis Cinemas is sponsoring ‘Actor Of The year’ and Casabella/Revlon are sponsoring the ‘Woman of The Year Category’
Mr.Ben Murray-Bruce will receive a Life-time Achievement Award, while MTN Foundation will also receive an award for their contribution to lives of the ‘Common man’. AFRINEST will also receive an honorary award for their contribution in enlightening young men on finance management.
It promises to be a great evening with a mix of CEOs, Politicians, Musicians ,Actors, Businessmen and the ‘Upwardly Mobile’ crowd. Presenters of awards will include Louise Priddy, JayJay Okocha, John Fashanu, Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Jim Iyke and a host of other celebrities. US based Designer/Stylist who has two nominations this year graces the cover of the magazine’s DEC/JAN ‘Men Of The Year Issue’ which will be on display that evening.
