He and a couple of friends were on their way home in Abuja after a meeting at Congress Lounge, they were driving a BMW 3 Series convertible, 2 passengers were at the front, and 3 at the back and just as they got to Benue roundabout in Maitama, they got hit on the side of the car by a Toyota Corolla that didn't have its headlight on, the accident was so bad that 3 of the passengers were critically injured, one of them was Kevin who had blacked-out immediately after the collision, they were rushed to the hospital in Abuja where it was discovered that he had broken 3 rib-bones and his left lung had collapsed, he was taken to 2 hospitals in Abuja in the space of 5 days because of his condition, but had to be flown by an air ambulance to Netcare Milpark Hospital,Guild Rd. Parktown West, Johannesburg, South Africa when he didn't respond well to treatment in Nigeria.

As we speak, he is still at the hospital recuperating; one of the other critically injured friends is also at the same hospital in Johannesburg, while the 3rd person is in Abuja recuperating also. According to a very reliable source, Kevin and his friends were in a very bad shape, when they were rushed to the hospital, it was discovered that Kevin particularly had internal bleeding, that had to be drained immediately.

To ascertain the extent of the damage and what shape Kevin and the others were still in, we called Kevin in South Africa today 22-10-2011, who though sounded very tired confirmed in the affirmative everything about the accident and that he was recovering. We hear he has lost about 8 kg since the accident, and is looking a bit worse for wear

We pray that he and his friends would have a quick recovery.
