GOVERNOR PETER OBI IS THE NEXT AVIATION MINISTER

GOVERNOR PETER OBI

Wow!!! What is happening to the outgoing Governor of Anambra State, in the person of His Excellency, Governor Peter Obi aptly describes or play out the idiom- ''One good turn deserves another''. The action Governor after 2 terms as the Chief Executive Officer of his state would be bowing out next week with his head and shoulder held very well up. But just has he is leaving one powerful position in government, he is already set to be sworn in to another powerful one, without even going on to rest;an unprecedented feat we believe.

This was one action packed Governor. Who before coming to power was very well to do. He was said to be one of the biggest shareholders of Fidelity Bank and was even the Bank's chairman before he took up the reins of Governance in Anambra, that's amongst several investment portfolio he used to command. Though his path to power was not that easy like for some, he has had to fight to get his mandate from supposed usurpers many times over; word around town is that the man has performed fantastically commendably well in all areas one can think about. Touching the lives of all Anambrarian one way or the other. The way that he has been doling out the dividends of democracy around the state in the past 2 years and even before has been unbelievable. The citizens of his state would sure miss him, when he is gone.

If all works out well as planned, at least continuity would not be lacking in any way. As the outgoing Governor got his wish, with the  people voting for his candidate and declaration of his anointed choice as the next Governor to take over from him. In the past few weeks, the 2- that is outgoing Governor and the incoming Governor(elect) have been working together very cordially and we hope the exchange of baton would be as seamless as possible. According to the gist in town, Governor Peter Obi would be leaving a whopping N75 billion for the incoming administration. Another fantastic feat if it is found out to be the fact as stated. For that alone he should be majorly commended.

Away from all of that and now to the coming transformation from former Governor to a powerful Minister. All through Governor Peter Obi's stint has a 2 term Governor, though he is in another party APGA opposed to the party at the center (which is the PDP), it was quite obvious that he supported the President, in the person of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan unflinchingly throughout and he did not hide it at all. The good rapport between the 2 is why the outgoing Governor is now going to take over from where Stella Oduah left off. To buttress their good friendship, the President even made a show of it recently by saying he wished all others were like him.

With all the much that we have heard and that some have even confirmed that Governor Obi has done in his State and also with all his contribution to the Nation's discuss, especially showing how to foster peace & good relationship across party lines, we have had to wonder many times, that how come he has not won on several occasions, all the so called many awards for good performance that many of his colleagues who haven't done as much as he has, have won many times over. Such awards like the Sun Man of the year awards, Silverbird Man of the year awards, ThisDay Awards for excellence in Governance etc just to mention a few.

Anyways, the President who seem to see so much good in him, and wants to say thank you and also continue to tap from his wealth of experience and good will, has decided to hand him the Ministry of Aviation to work his magic. So has he would take over that very important and powerful ministry, expect the Peter Obi kind of action to play out.

Something major is coming to the Aviation Ministry. And everyone should wait for it.

Congratulations on your planned new stewardship!!! This man is one dogged fighter of the unflinching kind. His many battles won is a testament to his resilience and make up. Take a bow!!!
