GREGARIOUS DEMOLA ADELEKE OF PDP SLAMDUNKS AREGBESOLA

New Senator Ademola Adeleke

Governor Rauf AREGBESOLA

Senator Iyiola Omisore
Maybe this result of yesterday's election between the PDP's own Senator elect Demola Adeleke, the younger brother of the late Serubawon and also brother to Davido's billionaire dad, Deji Adeleke versus APC's Mudashiru Hussain, would be a wake up call for the Osun State Governor, Rauf AREGBESOLA and his party that the people cannot be taken for granted, we do not know yet.

But the result of this election has shown somehow that no matter what, sentiment no matter how you want to discount it, can be a major factor in winning an election, and it also shows glaringly, that the late Isiaka Adeleke was not a pushover by any means at all in the politics of Osun State, most especially in the decision making in his domain Ede.

Much has been said about the influence the late Senator wielded when alive and how much he was loved by the (his) people, now even in death the power he was said to have possessed was showcased in this election which had his younger brother facing the might of an incumbent Governor and all the machinery at his disposal.

Ademola Adeleke, representing the opposition PDP defeated, annihilated and totally obliterated the candidate of the Governor on all counts. At the only place where the APC candidate won, which was where he himself voted, he won by just 4 votes!!!

The whole scenario just says it all, that even in death the great Serubawon is a man to reckon with and that if you downplay his avowed influence, you do so at your own peril and loss.

An analysis of the whole scenario would have shown that Demola Adeleke was faced against the machinery of the state, especially a sitting Governor, but even at that, 2 of his own brothers, in the persons of the late Isiaka "Serubawon" Adeleke and billionaire businessman, Deji Adeleke gave him all the backings he needed to coast to victory unscathe, albeit one did it post humously. What this just says is that, the people no matter what cannot and must not be taken for granted by anyone, no matter their influence or status.

So INEC has declared Demola Adeleke the winner and new Senator, to take over the seat left vacant by the untimely death of his elder brother. As the PDP have now won this election, this might portend the direction of things in the upcoming Governorship election in the State come whenever.

So Senator Iyiola Omisore who is a powerhouse of a sort in Ife and environs a big part of Osun State, is lurking quietly in the background, planning, strategizing, aligning, mending fences etc, ready to pounce and take over on behalf of the PDP the running of the affairs of the state. If Ede and Ife would close ranks and then come together, with all other power houses in other areas, hmmmmmm!!!!!

There are some hell-bent on demystifying the relevance and influence of the Jagaban Borgu ASIWAJU Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Leader, who it is claimed, is actually from Osun State at all cost, it now seems like the project has begun!

Can the APC retain Osun State in the next election, if it were to hold next week?  As the influence of APC waned in the state that excitedly voted her into power just a few years ago?
